Light Beacon debuts at Lowlands 17 festival

After last year's succes of the Rockhand during the Lowlands 16 festival, we have developed with in-house company's SuperDynaLite an Tiny Factory the first wearable, rechargeable light show exclusively for Silent Disco International.
This mobile device, called the Light Beacon, will be mounted on top of their wireless headphones and is remote controllable by any art-net capable light desk. It got synchronised strobes, 24 bit dimming and colour mixing on 4 separate channels and is fully rechargeable. Silent Disco International opens the Lowlands 17 festival on Thursday the 17th of August with a astronomical number of 6000 wireless headphones……

Light Beacon is part of the upcoming 360 Cyclone Club. First part that is been build of this concept, the 360 Cyclone itself, got last month his debut at the Glastonbury festival in England and Exit festival in Serbia. Click here to see the 360 Cyclone in action at Glastonbury festival. The combination of Light Beacon, 360 Cyclone and the best sounding wireless headphones from Silent Disco International will open doors for a truly portable club, with no need for traditional sound and light company's.

Pulsating liver and other stories

No this is not about my liver but the title of a fantastic SciFi novel written by good friend Bobby Hassal. Bobby and me worked together on the Hans Klok Las Vegas show some years ago. Besides a very busy stagemanager he used all his spare time to write this first chapter of the trilogy. Bobby asked me to design the cover of his book and we needed an old man. I was learning Affinity Photo anyhow (and kissed Photoshop goodbye) so this was a great opportunity to take a picture of myself and aged it many lightyears from now.
As on Amazon: "A crazy adventure across alien landscapes, when a grumpy old rock and roll stage crew, an intergalactic space traveller and a stowaway helpless alcoholic, travelling in a luxury Night Liner, get hurtled through time and space, sucked through a wormhole, end up in God's living room and have to save the Universe from from complete and utter annihilation. It's just got to be fun!!!

ILMC 29

edge

Just returned from ILMC 29 , the International Live Music Conference in London. SilentDisco.Com's international agent Dan Silver presented in a technical forum a concept from Office Broomer's sleeve, the Third Dimension Spectacle, exclusively produced for SilentDisco.Com. The Third Dimension Spectacle is a 3D sound and light experience for 1-10K audience that can be set up very easy and will compete with standard stage setups against a competitive price.
During the event it was sold to the Glastonbury festival immediately and will be show up on several other European festivals this season. More info about the concept to follow.
